6/20/08 Ryans Horn

6/20/08 Ryans Horn.

Fished Ryans horn today. Water temp 65.3 degrees. Nice drift with the SW winds pushing us east for a perfect slick right across the structure of the horn, Fresh ground up chum, live bluefish. Not much to show for it besides tons of pesty blue sharks and having to restock up on hooks .

Not much life in the area besides the Blue sharks. Beautiful day out there tho.
Not many boats out there either today, practically a ghost town.

Next Time hopefully.

we fished the same area on sat with the same results just blue sharks. we had to move from our first stop ,we could not get our baits in there were so many blues around.we moved a little south to find less sharks and a slow drift for the rest of the day. great first day of sharking for us with a couple big ones.makos, threshers? maybe next time.

We also fished on sat with almost same results at butterfish hole. We did get into a 300 plus threster to only lose it 10 feet of the stern?? lost 30 plus hooks and could not get baits down pass the blues. The threster hit the deep bait around 75 feet down.
