Another ho hum trip with Capt. Dom 10/27

Got out on Monday 10/27 chasin bluefin again.

Released a 55'' and a 57", kept a nice fat 59". Had plenty of other opportunities, and the weather was top notch for late October. We were witness to the greatest show on earth in my opinion...hungry tuna airing out all over the place, gannetts diving, a finder screen lit up with marks, and blood on the boat. It doesnt get any better.

That bastid went apeshit after his initial stoppage from the dart very early in the fight. I brought out the 12 inch steel to get im in the boat, and definitely went full effort on the buttonhole dart shot, and the gaff through the brain. These poor fish are in for hurtin when they are going in the box till Im done with em this year. I'll just think of demonfish and let the iron fly.....

oh man - those pics show it to be about as nice as I was imagining it on Mon. Not bad for late Oct...

Congrats on another good day out there - sounds like you could use it.

What reel are you using w/ those +/- 60" fish?

Stella 10K, 20K Japanese model(not me but my customers, too rich for my blood)

I have been using the Quantum Cabo PS 70, and the Shimano Saragosa 18K and they have both held up pretty well.
