Big Thresher with pictures

Capt Joe Bagwell of River Rebel Charters and Capt Bill Major Majaday charters did a little prep today for the Oak Bluffs tournament aboard Capt Majors boat and the team landed a 496 lb 16 ft over all total length Thresher shark. Took a live blue fish and put up a fight for over one and half hours. To bad it was a practice run that fish could have been a big money fish in two weeks.. Congrats to both. I hope to have some pictures soon.

Hey Randy,

I heard Billy hung a slob, didn't know Joe was with him. Congrats on a huge Whiptail. Can't wait for the pictures. When I heard the fork length at 8.6, I knew it was near 500. The way they weighed that fish flat might have cost you a few pounds, the 2x6 lay down method just doesn't center the weight properly....

Yea, I agree I think they lost a few pounds it should have been a little better than 500. To bad it was during the tornament but its one fish that can't beat them. And its going to taste good on the grill in a few minutes.
