Anyone making a canyon run 7/25 to 7/26? Forecast is looking better, but it is a tight window. TONIGHT S TO SW WINDS 15 TO 25 KT...EXCEPT W PORTION DIMINISHING TO W 10 TO 15 KT LATE. SEAS 6 TO 9 FT. HIGHEST WINDS AND SEAS SE. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND TSTMS. FRI AND FRI NIGHT WINDS DIMINISHING TO VARIABLE 5 TO 10 KT FRI. SEAS SUBSIDING TO 4 TO 6 FT FRI NIGHT. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND TSTMS ENDING LATE FRI. SAT S TO SW WINDS 10 TO 15 KT. SEAS 4 TO 5 FT. | ||

If the wind shifts out of the west as they are forecasting, the seas should calm down and be mostly a swell. Right now the buoy data is showing steep six foot waves with a six second period. This would make for a very unpleasant ride. I’m still on the fence. If it does lie down tonight, I will probably have a go at it with a later than normal start tomorrow. I’m not going to bait and ice up until the morning. Will be standing by on channel 68…… | ||

| Fishweather is showing the wind to die to almost zero on Friday and all through Sat picking up Sunday. I have my fingers crossed. | ||
