Chatham BlueFin Tuna Report (w/t Vid :^) Aug 7-10

My wife visited family in Chicago for the week and I didn't have to go! I arranged for a mooring, hotel in Chatham and called a few friends.

The weather was iffy, but managed two good days just E and NE of the Sword. Picked up 4 small/medium BFTs. Two fliers missed the mark and a mako hammered a GM bar. The mako put on a great show as it ate/destroyed a $100 bar. If you come across a mako with braces, it's mine! LOL

The BFTs were hitting black squid bars, 3 on Blk/purple and 1 on blk/green on the long riggers wwb. No idea what the fliers were aiming at. Water depth was between 270 and 320' around 64F.

Here's the video:

Crank up the volume and Click on "Chatham Blues". Enjoy.

On Sun, we heard over the VHF that a 19' Key West had leadered a 480# and called for assisitance A sportfisher came to the rescue, pooned the fish, pulled aboard and transported to where they get it back safely onto the right boat.

That's all for now. Over and out.
