The parker 34 is supposed to be at the miami show. It sounds like a great boat, with the exception of it being an outboard.

I just can't see owning a boat that big with outboards. It's not like it's a fountain, or another rocket cc.

But that's just me.

Anyway, using the alcohol s supposed to remove grease and other refractive gunk, making the line harder to see. I can't believe it would harm the line to just wipe it down.

Da' troof about acahol....

Capt. mike NAILED it.....90% of the fish are caught by 10% of the boats....It's all about attention to detail. Stretching daily is probably the biggest thing, but maybe not....I also felt that the effects of alcohol (denatured right?) could signifigantly degrade flouro but alot of guys who have caught alot more of these things than I have practice this routine at every bait check....pretty anal maybe, but try wiping brand new, right out of the sleeve flouro, you'll be amazed at how much "stuff" is on the rag. That having been said, how do get to be one of those "10% of the boats" guys?

I was lucky enough to go to the Miami Boat show last Monday. There wasn't any 34' Parker displayed. Otherwise, the show was the most incredible show I'm ever experienced. Yes, I'm now broke.
