This will be my first of many... Monday 8/18 headed out of Saquatucket harbor a little later than I would have liked (my vacation week with my girlfriend, a little tough gettin her up at 3 am) 6 line spread in the water by 6am. hooked up and after a ten minute battle my girlfriend boats a 35". I dont know if she had more trouble handling the international 80 or the fish. kindof a shame he was hooked up on that rod. the fish was realeased and all was rather quiet for the rest of the day, only heard of a few more hook ups. Thursday 8/21 nice early start, water was near glassy making for a fast and smooth ride out. saw lots of bait 17 miles out and it looked very promising but the water was far too congested with weeds to set the rigs out, so I reluctantly ran another 4 miles to cleaner water. Lines in...lots of feeding whales.....lots of fish pushing bait.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzz! 20 minutes later a nice 58" in the boat, he was nice and tired after the battle allowing me to lip gaff him, take a measurement and a few photos and send him back to gain another 60 lbs before I catch him again. Heading back out there on saturday, hopefully the ignorant as*holes that jam their boats into feeding fish and stuff thier bows into your spread stay home...or better yet, forget to put the plug in.

Glad to hear you scored, and catch and release also! We fished the sword friday and got 2 58" fish and 1 fish that was 36". All in all a great day on the water. Took the ride in a 38' rampage that was SWEEET! The ride home in 2-3ft seas was as smooth as it was on the way out at 2:30 am. "Triple Net" was a class act and great captain and put us on fish all morning. Thanks Captain Rich. I bet there are a couple SORE anglers this morning! Mostly you OLD guys, LOL. How you feelin' today George?

Bob We heard the chatter on the radio about the blitz but never saw it happen until around 1pm, we had a great time watching the whales and the birds and the tuna goin' wild for about an hour and a half. We trolled around them and picked up a 36" fish. There was one other boat with us, not sure of the name but they were drifting and casting. They looked like they were enjoying it as much as we were! All in all a great day out there!
