Sorry for the late post - just got back. fished the fairway bouy to tuna ridge area with no luck. many other boats around - no one catching. Lines in @ 6am Friday 72 degree blue water with lots of weeds. trolled till 10am without a knockdown. changed the setup many many times. One crew member got very sick w/ anxiety, so dropped him off on Block Island for the FAIRY ride home... Went to SW corner and limited out on fluke, over to SW Ledge for 10 stripers - kept one 40lber. Then back to the Fairway Bouy @ 4pm for the dusk bite. Trolled again for nothing. @ 7pm stopped at the bouy and chunked till 9pm still nothing. Back to block - spent the night in Old Harbor. Back to the bouy area for 5am STILL nothing - not even a mahi. Great trip - but sorry guys - there are NO tuna in this area. Will try again next weekend. | ||

Sounds like you really put your time in... I was there last wednesday and CRUSHED them. It's been very unpredictable as Tuna usually are. I also got them there the first week of August. I'm sure they'll be back in September or October, just keep pluggin away

| Wow, you put the effort in, so keep doing that and you'll git 'em. I'll be out around there tomorrow, planning on Fluking, but I may bring a couple big setups for the possibility of a tuna troll, who knows. Keep at it, and you'll get them. | ||
