Good luck!!!! Let us know how it goes...

We will be heading out for shark as soon as the seas calm down a bit. TS Barry (or what's left of him) is due to blow through mid-week, so that will no doubt muck up plans till at least the weekend.

Don't know about the edge yet, I'll probably let a few of you more daring souls explore then head out if it looks like the big fish are out there.

I have not tackled a big mako yet. I would like to keep it around 175 200lbs. I think it will just be bycatch. It will be more for tuna thna anything. But we shall bring the 70's with shark rigs and a few buckets of chum.

How far out is Hudson?

A guy I know used to head out there in a 17 Whaler with a 55 gallon drum of fuel strapped to the front of the console and more in the back....

Yeah, he's a nut job....

The head of the hudson is about 90 nm from montauk.

Nut job doesn't begin to describe doing something like that.
