| Confirmed reports of football bluefin in the Hudson area, 53 degree water to a high of 59 degrees. My buddies fished off the SW corner of Hudson, 151 NM from home port. All fish pounced on trolled 4" rainbow bars. There is no 71 degree water anywhere within range of an average sportfishing vessel out of any port in the northeast as of yet. Best looking water is mid 60s between Hydro and Ocean off the 1000 fathom line, but it is remnants of a very old bubble that worked off the stream. There are definitely signs of good shark water creeping in, and the bft should start to move closer to shore on all the bait inside soon.... This storm should blow in some better water off the stream, and next week should see some better reports than some sub legal bft. Last year the bite started in April, with shelf water up to 70 degrees by then. Good luck on the 9th, if you go. Be safe and be sure to report your efforts!

With fuel prices where they are it's getting close but not close enough yet ![]() It's going to happen soon and I concur that a good SW working for a while with the remnants of TS Barry will all come into play... Soon very soon....my itch is turning into a rash

Let me know, Im about ready to explode. Id rather not plan to go than have my trips get blown out, that was my 3rd in a row. Texas trip, Tile trip and now a tuna trip all blown out!!! Too much testosterone running through me, Im having dreams of watching a large twitching fish flop on a deck LMAO

| Chech the temp charts and go where the water is. I heard reprts of bluefins out at the 1,000 fathom line anywhere from Hudson east. Block or atlantis are a lot closer than the mouth of the Hudson. | ||

Allright ... thinking of breaking out as well. Water still looking pretty cold at Block and Atlantis. Where you thinking of running?
