Sweet looking ride - hull looks very similar to my bro-in-law's Hunt 25 - no steps in it though. His doesn't do any where near that speed as well.

Do you have pics showing the steps?

Congrats.

This was a one-off, custom built by Montgomery Boatworks out of FL. The hull was from a blueprint of the Hunt 25 Seahunter, which was recently re-introduced, without the steps though(I believe the original Seahunters were made right here in RI). I will get a picture of the steps at the transom for ya, and post them up. I hit 61 MPH on a sea trial, with light chop. Scary thing is though with the steps, it gets dangerous at speed when making a turn. This boat was also foam filled for positive bouancy should she ever have a problem, wont go all the way down.

This boat is seriously overpowered, not that I mind.

That Ray Hunt bow is unmistakeable, huh? He designed some nice rides over the years, for sure.

You don't ever have to ask me twice.

For those fishing the stern-I was jiggin' a 17 oz vike with a mustad hook dropper with a red tube when my fish slammed the jig and hooked on the bridge of the nose. He was peelin drag away from me and then took a turn forthe bow. Everyone saw I had a good fish and watched my progress[or lack of]. Terry asked if I could walk the bow and thanks to the great group of guys that enjoyed the smart end of the boat I made it around. As I fought the fish up it was coming to the surface like a tired bass. When I finally saw it surface we all noticed it seemed to be tail wrapped. I think Terry gave it a lip/gill gaff and asked for a second. I think it was relentless Dave who stuck it with the second gaff. When it hit the deck we all saw the tiny dropper skin hooked with a single lasso around the tail and my now double hook jig swingin' free and a broken hook in the nose.
My thanks to the bow fishing team for makin it happen- I gave the meat to Woody and kept the ears[otoliths] for my daughters new earings.
Thanks sportand commercial.

Dom,

Beautiful boat! Although I have fished with you on the American Classic and enjoyed your company I have yet to fish on your boat!

We will change that this year. My son and I plan to get out as much as possible and chase BFT, stripers, cod and anything else that swims and fights hard!

I will be out of commission for a bit while recovering from surgery next week but should be 100% in time for the tuna run. Would love to arrange a trip for tuna with you and gmann at some point.
