I've been using an Aftco Kite for two years now and it's always a pain in the butt. I see a lot of boats using a black parasail kite w/ tail out there. I've been unable to get any info on where to buy them and cost. They seem to fly much higher and perform better and all winds verses my Aftco. Are the SFC kites any good? They look the same as the one I got. ![]()

Those are the kites that Steve james gives out during the OB monster shark tounament. You can get them at Green Harbor Bait n tackle. I think they are around $30 they fky real nice and are easy to get up in the sky.

J & B Tackle in Niantic, CT has the kite that you're looking for. Call 860-739-7419- ask for Kerry or Kyle... and tell them that you're looking for the kite that I used in the seminar- Bill Brown. It's relatively cheap and they'll ship it to you.

Thanks Capts for the information. A local Tuna charter captain gave me a SFE kite that he had extra. Told me he uses them and about Tightlinestackle and gave me an extra catalog where I can get the BBGFC kite. I went to their web site and they carry it for $39.50 and a new improved version made by TTC for $45. Web site is tightlinestackle.com
