Just wrong still talking about a tuna caught 2 weeks ago

You'd think it was the middle of january, with the lack of Tuna posts. Very depressing, as that slug of fish was just amazing to catch on the spinning gear (100-150 pounds), but seems to be gone. Hopefully we don't have to wait till august for the footballs to show up. Maybe the shift in wind will do something..... I hope it does not break up the massive school of non-targeted, caught by mistake, Striped cod. when those fish move inshore, I will see if trolling a green machine spread down the center of salem harbor gets the same attention as the bank.

Keep the faith.....I need a Good riptide Post to get me firedup, when Terry says his boat was a flower pot for 10 days, I start popping the anti-depressants

Time Factor

It is getting depressing since I have not been out in almost two weeks due to vacation and having a new teak and holly sole placed in the boat. The deck came out awesome but needless to say the boat needs a good cleaning tonight.

Today and yesterday the bite has been excellent with boats loosing giants on 50's and one boat landing one today. All of the fish are big and I am looking forward to getting out.

We use black 13" bars and sometimes swith off to the root beer or the shrimp. The season is shaping up to be a great one and hopefully we will have a new report up by the end of the weekend.
