Sharks have arrived

I have reports from several eastern LI based boats and one RI based boat that the blue dogs have arrived. The makos shouldn't be far behind.

Blue Dogs ...

No doubt about it ...

On our Thursday night (6/7) overnighter to the NW Corner of The Hudson we hooked at least 10 Blue Dogs and brought no less than 5 6-7 footers to the boat before realeasing them!

They are there!

Yup, and you don't need to go all the way to the edge. We were out yesterday (6/10) and caught blue sharks non-stop for 6 hours. The guys lost count there were so many hookups, and one guy was constantly patching rigs to try to keep up.

We thought we may have had a tail cut as well on one line. Never will know though.

Anyway, we were down by the ranger, but another boat out was at the horns, and another near the butterfish, and they reported good catches of blue doggies as well.

Of course the bad news is we were also plagued by dogfish.....
