FISH REPORT - SM Bluefin Tunas in MUD HOLE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INSHORE

Stripers

The striper fishing has become more challenging. The SW Ledge has proven best results. The North Rip at night with eels also hasn't been too bad. The south shore has had a few fish from the Point Judith Light to Charlestown breachway.

Black Sea Bass and Scup

Anglers fishing Block Island rocky botttoms have had the best results.

OFFSHORE

Tuna

Finally a small bluefin tuna bite in the Mud Hole. All you wanted on the troll or chunk.

Giants are lingering in the Hole with random landings.

Sharks

No reports.

Canyons

450X500 produced yellowfin all on the troll.

Heh, we already "field-tested" the PRE-REEF material with the blacks!

After a couple weeks in the water, we were already pulling blacks out of the rubble! 8)

Once those 3 reefs are open to fishing (after the closed research period), I think they will be great spots for deep-water togs, seabass, etc etc

i guess i'm just anxious to get out there, trying to convince myself it's going to be ok...

technically i guess the mudhole is in your forecast (brown) as opposed to mine (light green). oh well. just have to keep waiting and watching at this point...

All you can do this time of year is be ready to go at a moment's notice....OR just poke your nose out there and see what it's like....can always turn back.
