Left early in the am from Norwich,CT to Green Harbor launch. From there we went to the bank for first light. Me, SCURGE (Marty), Capt.Vit,and Goin'Deeper (Dave G). We planned on trolling the SWC and then move to peaked hill area for 2nd slack of the day.
We trolled the SWC and marked a few tuna (slashes) but they were dep and they wouldn't come up or take a jig. At around 11:30 we started to head to Peaked but the fog got thicker, the wind picked-up and the seas increased. Not to the point the crew or boat couldn't take it but it conditions took the site fishing out of the equation. Wh headed back to the bank and trolled the next slack. Nothing but blues and stripes, with a few whales thrown in. No tuna. Maybe next time. Made it back to the launch just as the rain came and then the thunder once in the truck.
Tried posting some pics but said I have a security token missing!? Don't know what that means. One of the blues was 18# and a 44"-28# sand eel filled striper.
