we caught our second thresher fri afternoon in 68 deg. water somewhere just southwest of cox ledge.the fish ,weighed in at snug harbor marina, weighed 190 lbs.a bit smaller than our first(242) but even more exciting.i faught the fish for well over an hour before we could get the harpoon in him, joshkars made a great shot into the gills and an even better shot with the 12 guage in it's head ! landing a shark with only 2 of us is not an easy thing to do. good thing it wasn"t huge. but we did make shure it was very tired!we had no bites all day, we moved once, and bang at 3pm we had 3 hits all at once, joshkars with a blue he cut off early once i had the thresher on, and just before the thresher hit another rod went down but the fish dropped it,iguess it could of been the same fish.a long wait without a bite but it sure got busy real fast!a great day ,lots of whales and a .white pigeon that landed on the boat and hung out for a while.he even left and came back like an hour latr, weird.i'll post some pics soon. | ||

| Congrats on the Thresher & baby. We have had no luck with the Thresher but I am not complaining about the 3 Makos landed out of 6 to the boat (50% ratio is bad and I hate to even post it)! You got 2 whiptails and I really wish I could land 1 at this point! Got a few months to go yet but I think we will be slowing down on the sharking once more predictable weather prevails and get to to the edge once a week! | ||

![]() Thanks for the well-wishes! Momma's still plugging along, nothing yet, but the baby's moving around like a bastard LOL! GOTTA be itching to enter this world SOON! ![]() I've been getting my chops broken about my fishing coming to end and all that......first of all, that won't be the case....slowed down of course, but it will never "end"....... Secondly, I'm also looking forward to the first time I take him or her out fishing to get them hooked, as my dad did to us kids as soon as we could stand on 2 feet!
