Nice to see the table fare is breaking through all the blue sharks. Beautiful fish!

Can't ask for a better scenario!

Thresher!

Nice job on the thresher. Your story got my heart pumpin'. What factors did you consider as far as location went? What was the water temp? Why not the acid barge? Thanks for your report.

Nice fish!!!! The gills are the spot to hit them, knocks them out reel quick and they are pre-bled.

Brain,

You got it right, last year Dom slammed a gill shot on a huge shark for us and the shark was done in seconds. No movement, nothing bled out and quiet in one swoop.

The Acid Barge is a productive spot late in the season when the blue shark have been spooked hook-shy and picked through for tournaments - But this early in the season everyone with the itch (that'd be all of us) and a mid to large boat are pounding the Barge hard, and I think this year is worse because of fuel prices (close to home). The odds of getting a keeper mako or T shark out there right now are slim to none.

There are portions of the horns that well up water into a thermocline (sorry, that'll be my trade secret) or even a temperature break if tides run hard enough. Real time data is essential regarding sea surface temperatures. Water was 60.5 degrees at the surface where.
