What have you got to say about the topic of: "Tuna baby". Here's how is started: "OK, The boat is out of the Boston area and he was cod fishing and "

HUH? OK, The boat is out of the Boston area and he was cod fishing and there were stickboats in the area. It is obvious to me they were fishing stellwagen for cod and haddock. Yes they could have been on Jefferies if you don't know the boat. I don't think anyone was trying to keep a major secret as much info was gioven in Ron's post. It is such a shame you can't give kudo's for a job well done because he did not type in his location. Dave

One thing I've learned in my time is that putting my time in is the only report I depend on, and believe me, we put in our time !!! Forget about reading on the internet, in the fisherman, on the water, and other papers, the talk in the bait and tackle shops, ect... because most all of that is bull and exaggeration. and as Dave Waldrip said to me some years ago "They have tails" This past week for example, Our boats are kept in Quincy Ma, One day we are down in cape cod bay, next day we are up north as far as Island Shoals, then the next day Gloucester, next day back to cape cod bay and were hammering 35lb bass., next day back to the bay for the same, Then out to the bank for cod, ect..... And most every day in this yearly routine we do, we are out on the boat @2:00-3:00am netting bait for the day, then spending 10 hrs on average fishing regardless if we have charters booked or not and only sleeping 2-4 hrs a night. And care to guess what our fuel bill is for the week ? So if it comes to like you said, "what comes around goes around" I have no problem with that! Sorry if you are offended, as the comments in your 2 post about my lack of specifics and details, make it clear that you are! This site NBS as it has been explained to me stood for "No Bull S**t" = honest and truthfull reports, not people looking for a blueprint of where and when to fish! |

No, the scale at "The Hook-Up!" is not "broken", it was not charged up. We hung two tuna at 103 and 113lbs today and the scale is all set. If anyone would like to have thier tuna fish wieghed in just swing on by and we have the block and tackle ready and waiting. Capt. Eric

Sandbox OK, Let's all play nice together in the sand box as there is great news with all of these fish being here early and the reports of bait around from the herring closure and sand eels on the bank. It should be an awesome summer and I am sure we will ALL be sharing reports and news. I appologize Boonebird if I came off strong and I guess it is due the fact sometimes I myself don't get to type everythnig I want to due to being busy with full time job, family and trying to run a charter business. Fish are all over Stellwagen including some giants which were stuck the other day by the harpooners. I am surethe few fish caught do not represent what is out there in numbers and I expect a great season and wish both Raider Ron and Boonebird along with each member of this great site an outstanding tuna season. Respectfully, Dave

One last thought. NBS was stated to be NO BULL S**t right. . Here we go. If someone makes a post and caught some bluefin just post that you caught them thats pretty much it.No other info was given the water temp location or what ever. Your telling me thats not BULL S**T. I guess I dont know what is then. Why even make a post. Tight lines bent gaff full fish box and maxed out scales.

Congrats on a very nice fish. It's like dating, when you least expect it you hook up. Hope this is a good omen for the season. Thank you for sharing the trip with us. Keith
