Headed out from boston habar toward NWC yesterday....we got there around 8:30am and the plan was to spend the day casting to breakin fish (no trollin).... Within a few minutes of gettin there we started to see breakin fish....these fish were not big (id put them at 20lbs to 50lbs) but would be perfect for light weight spinning gear and fly gear.... The weather was spectacular....not a ripple.... anyway, the schools we saw were light in numbers and very skiddish.... we had a few shots at em but were unable to get it done..... went down the bank toward swc but found nothin....headed into ccb and found some life and plenty of stickboats....nuttin.... found some more breaking fish off plymouth and had a could small one to the boat....fun on spinning gear but nuttin to write home about.... ......my focus is rapidly shifting to canyon runs....hopefully the weather and seatemps will line up over the next few weeks | ||
