the post was by orvisfisher over on Northeast. To be fair, orvisfisher simply posted " look at these bad boyz " and then in the thread "total gold anodized trident rod holders

".
He/she made no claim of ownership or manufacture.

As for the use questions posted over there ... Holy smokes, heii yes they are for FISHING not running. I have a deck rod holder for running. These are used for everything from kite fishing to trolling. I will be posting some Rock fish trolling pictures later this month. We pull a 14 to 16 line spread, using planer boards on a 100 foot line. Ya gota put those poles someplace!! AND just wait and see the small boat big spread we have designed for the Canyon Draggin'. ARC-TEK is doing more custom work for us...

That has to be incredible, a 16 line spread. How often do you get multiple hook-ups that way?
Thanks for clearing up the other stuff. Thought someone was claiming they made them.

Bob, we get multiple hookups all of the time, thats the reason we pull so many lines. When Striper fishing in the Ches-Bay we can pull a 5 to 7 line spread and pick them one at a time, with a seldom few double hookups. However with a full spread like this if we find a school, we almost always have multiple lines go down.

Offshore we run tipple lines off the outriggers. Also, will be running 3 WAY WAY (900 feet) back lines for BFT. These three lines are run from shorter and more vertical Lone Rigger Poles which are placed in the roof rack (port-center-starboard). The center line in vertical, 10 feet and is run at about 750 feet. The Port-Starboard Long Riggers have a 22 degree bend and they are 8 feet long. They allow us to pull two additional LONG lines 900 feet back with NO problem. When draggin' lines early in the year in the canyons these long lines are killer for BFT. The rest of the spread is up short, near the boat and will attract any YFT or Long Fin Tuna that may lurking about.
