Here is a shot of where we are headed. This is a 17" bar rigged with 9" Green Draggin' Skirted Squid. Notice how close they are. After we build the bar, we will discuss how they are trolled, or at least how WE troll them. There are hard lessons in everything we rig ... and it comes down to presentation, what works and what don't (even when ya think it looks good)

| That looks great. Most I have seen and used (not many) had the first row of squid right against the bar. Doing it your way looks like it will increase the action of the squid and minimize barsplash. Looking forward to more info. | ||

The way shown above, looks like they're easier to keep making a nice even commotion in the water

Next comes the center line. We make ours 52" long. There is a 230# coast lock snap on the lead end. This connects to the spreader bar leader. ![]() **A note on crimping. The picture above is a good shot of what your crimps should look like. We use the smallest crimps possible, however you have to be sure the ends flair and do not bite into the line due to crimping too close to the edge. Also, make sure you do not over crimp. These are common errors that will make your bar fail. - We rig either four or five squid on the center line. If the squid are 6 inches or smaller, we use six squid on the center line. The spacing between the squid is still 2 inches. The squid are rigged in the same way as I described above.

Our bars have stingers that can be removed and replaced at any time. We do this with another Offshore Loop knot in the last squid. This makes the entire system more flexable and user friendly. ![]()

| New update every night, I love it. Is the foam just regular insulation type foam? It looks like it. Nice work on the lesson. | ||

| Yes Bryan, that is correct. It takes a bit of trial and error to get it to work right, but it works really well. | ||
