Reel Draggin' Tackle on the Muff Diver 25 July

Today reel Draggin' Tackle was on board the Muff Diver with another great bunch of local anglers. We departed at 4am and made an early run out to the area around the Hambone. The spread was not in long before the first line went off. The first fish broke off when it made a quick run under the boat. Re-Set the spread and WAM, the next line goes off, this one meets steel and a nice 100+ pound blue fin tuna is on ice.

We had a few new rigs to try out so we elected to stay on the blue fin and try to get each angler time on a big fish as we searched for our slot fish. After going through another four fish, all over 100 pounds, we decided to switch it up.

We moved to the edge of the bone and looked for marks, once we found them we put four anglers to work Jigging. No joy after a few hours and we made an early run back to Ocean City.

There are still lots of fish out there. Stay away from the fleet and fish deep. We have open seats on 13 August if anyone is interested, check it out click here.

Deep lines produced all of the bites on this trip. We were slow trolling our sport dredge off the downriggers, dressed with a hoo, and a skirted hoo on the other side.
