sailfish

Some pretty good action off Jupiter Florida past week.I had a number of sail fish bites trolling dead baits from my 23 ft cc.The big problem this time of year is getting outside in a small boat and hoping for lighter winds.
I managed to get off shore a couple days ago and had a nice double sail bite.I was all alone and the next thing ,I had a sail on each rod.I worked both fish and I managed to get one to the boat.Lots of fun and warm in the sun.150 ft to 200 ft range ,go gettem

My friend's uncle that lives and fishes out of Port St. Lucie (used to fish with him up here before he moved) caught a sailfish that was 3# shy of the FL state record in the past couple weeks.

Waiting for some $59 flights to show up online on the right days, and I'll be heading down with my buddy to fish with him.....

great job

My son and I had a ball catching sails off Miami in January. It amazes me the different tactics used and the charters in southern florida all use 100% live bait (goggle eyes, pilchards, herring) and the more north you go the more you see dead bait being used such as ballyhoo

At one time my son and i had 4 sails on at once using kites, it was insane but we managed 3 of the 4. People underestimate how hard they fight especially on light tackle. Amazing fish

tight lines
