Would enjoy putting one of those nuge bluefin on my boat! We have them here in the northwest but no one is really geared up and fishing for them. We are also at a disavantage as compared to you guys! We have a lot deeper water to deal with. We hooked something really big last year but it just went straight down and nearly spooled an avet ex before it broke the 80lb prower pro!

I fish out of Depoe Bay a lot. The footage in that video was sent to me by the guy who shot it! Wild stuff. What you have to know it that the entrance is in a "s" shape. Pucker factor goes way up normally but when the winds kick up it is down right scary! Came in last year when it was closed to 26" and under. I am a 2601 so can come in. Swell timing is what it takes. Problem was it was somewhat foggy and hard to time swells. Finaly just hit the gas and pushed through. Was good to be back in the harbor!
