San Diego tuna

Fished aboard the Pacific Star out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego. Got on the boat 10pm, July 1 and returned on July 4, 6am. Caught 240 albacore (20-35#) for 24 fishermen. Caught on both the toll using any lure with green in it or a purple and black Hydro Magnum. As for bait, we had anchovies and sardines and both worked at different times. The big bite was an afternoon stop. The boat and crew could not have been better...good attitude and fun to fish with. I'd do it again, if I had a place to put more fish in my freezer.

One of my fishing goals when my boys grow up some more is to go on a long range trip of 10-14 days targeting jumbo 200-300lb yellowfin out of San Diego on the Excell or Royal Polaris. They usually bring back 100-200 of those fish that size each trip. Cant leave the family right now but one day I will be on the back of that boat hooked up

Great report and welcome to the board
