It's not an Omilu! The Yellowspot Trevally is actually a different species than the Bluefin Trevally, or Omilu. The Hawaiians call them "Papa", I believe.

Either way, nice fish. Way to get after it.

Trolling slow right now on Oahu, but we had a terrific run of ahi (yellowfin tuna) in late fall/early winter, which is rare for us. A lot of boats had multiple tuna days. Unfortunately, I wasn't on any of them.
