Agreed with the above, but let's not get into a argument here, else "el locko" will be used on this thread (which there is really no reason for).

I noticed that you have yourself listed as a "Field Tester" for them (on your site). Great information on the plugs and results, which I appreciate. I fully appreciate you using what works best for you, and would support that of any charter or rec for that matter.

I enjoy your reports and want to keep seeing them, so please, try not to take offense to this. A plug here and there regarding a product that works is fine, no worries. You seem like a straight up guy, and a heck of a charter captain, so I hope this is all taken in stride.

It is also not solely about advertisers here. I support those that support NBS, no doubt, but there are millions of other products out there worthy of mention, and a testimonial to a products worth, or lack there of, is good too.

With ALL due respect Armand, I ALWAYS post what lures/bait etc I used for my trips. In this case it was one of Salty's lures. Thats what worked, thats what I posted. Eels and pogies don't sponsor this site, but when they work I talk about them. No comercial.

If I used one of his plugs and the hooks pulled out of it on a big fish, I'd post that too. Sorry if I didn't use a lure that was advertised on this site.

My intention was not to write a commercial. I've had GREAT luck with Polish Lures Sandeels for tuna and if you check my reports I rave about them. I buy them at the store like everyone else. No deals or affiliations.

I try to keep my reports read-able. I don't want them to be boring and they need to be informative enough that it's not just bragging "look what we caught" By keeping the details in the report regarding lures, depth, conditions etc the reports remain helpful to the reader.

In this case we threw 5-6 different lures and the one one that worked was that particular model of lure from Saltys. Several other of his didn't do squat nor did several other brands of lures.

Because it was such a specific bite (why I have no idea) I made it a point to be specific regarding the lure.

I hope this helps explain where I was coming from. I'm on several Pro Staffs and I test for several companies, but I try to keep the pimping of products to a minimum (i.e. we used St Croix rods and Pure Fishing Line but I didn't mention it because it was not specific to the bite)

Terry, I understand your intent. I love the reports you post and I also put very detailed reports in. That's what makes NBS different from other sights. Here we can and do get specific with information.

Now keep on getting your clients those Big Cow Stripers and don't forget to tell us where .

Alrighty, this turned south, and I have gone back an cleaned up a number of posts, including deletion of 1 or 2.

Great information, but let's all stick to fishing and lure building.

EL LOCKO...
