7-17 Great Morning

I got out about 3:45 this morning. I ran to the river and was not able to get to the bunker due to the low bridges. I made a few sets getting a couple here and there. Finally part of the school pushed out and I was able to get bait.
By the time I picked the net it was 5:45. I had the day to myself so I ran to clinton. Im glad I did. I started in the outer reefs and hit a couple bass and some blues. I just kept working my way in and had a decent pick of fish. The bigger fish were holding on the inside.i had to work for the fish but it was worth it. I wish I would have gotten there earlier. But there is always tomorrow.
on the way back I ran into ChuckA who was beating up on big blues with a few stripers mixed in. I still had time and a dozen bunker so I made some drift until the bunker were gone. I picked up one more Bass and blues on every drift.
Total for the morning was 15 bass and alot of blues all released to fight another day

There was fish. I think it would have been better if I got there at daybreak. It wasnt red hot but enough to keep you interested

if I went fishing before work I dont think I would go to work that day. LOL
those car guys work to like 6 or 7 at night. God I would be shot

thats what this guys says...430 leaving the dock, it's just tough by the time he goes home then back to Branford to sell cars...and it's probably slow for car sales, especially american made cars....makes for a long day in the show room.

Nice Report Pat .I may have to launch from Clinton this weekend after a trip to bunkerville.I'm doing the same thing tommorow as today .Go get bait at 5 then back to Guilford I'd go for bait earlier but the ramp opens at sunrise .Today my brother and I got 2 Bass early then 15 big blues for the lobster guy.Man those fish fight hard .Maybe I'll see you again on the return trip .That was a nice bass you got .Car sales men know how to fish?I thought all they knew was how to bust your chops when you walk through the door .
