Bassing the Reel Crazy way

Pat (Reel Crazy) and I decided to take a little run on Saturday to look for the bass that have been elusive the last few weeks. The day started at 3:30 with some net sets which turned up about 15 swimmers. As it turned out, we were going to need more and thank God Pat brought some fresh dead. We then took a little run before reaching my favorite spot. The spot did not disappoint from the first drift. Constant action that started all bass before changing to bass/blues. Total for the day, 12 bass and about 6 blues. The bass fought hard. They did not want to come off the bottom. They stuck down low and we really had to pump the rods to get them moving. Both rods held Avets and line did get pealed. Got a personal best at 34 pounds. Its days like these that make the year.

On a side note, its good to have Pat back in the game. The doc has cleared him for the boat and its good to have the mentor back on the salt. He is still getting er done.
