Best trip of the year

I was not planning on going sunday morning, But my cicadian clock woke me up at 330....so i grab my gear and go down to the boat. I was trying to get some motivation to push away from the dock...when I saw friend of mine pull in.....I hollered over to him, and told him to cmon and lets do it. he replied he had no gear, only his coffee, I hailed back it's ok i have bycktails and some eeels......he pulled his truck in, and he and his cousin steve hopped on. I told him i wasnt planning on going, he said the same...he was just grabbing something off the boat. we pushed off, we ended up with 3 small bluefish, but the conversation and comradere was priceless.Tony C and my self have always spoke of fishing together, and we had alot of laughs.....we both do well at catching fish.....but today we just lazily cast bucktails, and tossed around some eels, we tried a few odd tactics, had a great time, we bs'ed about everything and nothing., ......Tony is a class dude, our trip shows that it isnt always about what you catch to have a good time......we were not in the least bit dissapointed in the outcome, that seperates us from the crowd! Thanks tony & cousin steve!

Sounds like a nice time, even without catching much fish.

Were there any "mounts" despite lack of fish ? LOL
