Hey reel puke, I can tell its the beacon, but I thought he might be marking a "real" spot near there.

There are a couple of humps behind it.

There's just about every kind of fish at the beacon, so there is prolly some togs. Just never tried it or needed to try it because the others have been so productive.

I have never tried it myself. But who ever is coaching Carl is right. There are guys that do Tog that spot and they have done pretty well in the past. Tough spot, you have to get right up on it.

Sress knows if he gives up our spots I'll sink his boat! Some hot spots have room for about half a kayak! But---it's true, the Heads were super hot this (late) spring on Asians and worms. I did very well in skinny water in the Thimble area. Townsend's was HOT for a while and will be this fall. Look for 23' of aqua. Fall hotspots include some surprisingly nearby humps in or just ourside Branford Harbor. (As in Taunton) Most years the breakwalls off NH Harbor are good---if you know how to anchor. Cow and Calf can be hot but inconsistent---get in CLOSE! BTW---use as little lead as you can, depending on depth and tide. Of course, if you can run to Clinton/Madison SW Reef inner and outer is awesome. The Clinton Breakwall and nearby humps as well as Madison Reef can produce great toggn. Tradition says Brown's and Wheaton's should be good. Cut the bigger greenies in half. Cut off the legs and claws. Remove the back shell. Fish. Don't look for me---I'll be at the REALLY good spots.

Seems like there is going to be some fishing for Tog going on this weekend......perhaps a Branford wager on what boat can land the biggest Tog on Saturday.....perhaps a case of bass ale? Any takers?

Doug
thats a tough one we have tried to tie down those branford guys in the past.
Stress usually has to golf (but we see him on the water that day)
Carl hasnt used his boat in such a long time he forgot which way to go in the river to get to the sound.

Togmister operates under radio slience

On top of that and the most important
Branford is Yellow

Well its hard to say..Stress is out fishing with moonster tonight.
so there is a good chance of him coming on tonight with BEER MUSCLES

Thats right BEER MUSCLES

on top of that he is a sore loser. He shakes the beer before he gives them to you and dosent even put them in back in the case.

Whatever.... you have to look out for also. I think he would give up the beer but chances are it would be in your livewell after he drank it.

Plus we have a guest Tog allstar fishing aboard ReelCrazy that morning, So It would be in there best interest to pretend they never saw the wager
(They used that one before also)
