Blues at Middle Grounds(Strafford Shoal)

Hi Guys,

I am back to running a PB in LI sound out of Port Jefferson again. Been away in another port for the last 8 years. I will post any good news that I have from that area.

I ran the 1630 trip today diamond jigging blues/ bass. Only had a handful of fares and fished south of the Candle. Did not have any good reads but did manage several blues in the boat and a couple lost including a striper that leaped and spit the jig. Nice outgoing water and a beautiful evening.

A private boat was anchored up west of the red buoy and looked like he might have been chunking. I saw him catch about 5 blues while I was in the area.

I used to talk with a fellow named Jim from Ct who had a Grady White with an inboard, a diesel maybe. He used parachute lures and fished with his wife and they caught lots of fish. Jim if you read this please send me a msg. Remember, "IRISH HONEY"!!!
