BYC BlueCuda Tourney

Wow, what an awesome day! Cold and blowing early, then calm ,warm and gorgeous. Caught lots of blues to 12 lbs. While Matt and Billy loaded up on the choppers ,I scupped. Caught some of the biggest scup I have ever seen. Was hoping for keeper sea bass. Headed in for the 3pm weigh in. A 15+ monster took 1st. We were not in the $$. Many blues were taken jigging and trolling as well as chunking. Matt, Billy and I ALL won prizes in the raffle and the food was great! A funny sidelight, when I took my pail of scup to the cleaning table, there were several guys ahead of me. I figured an hour, at least. (Why would anglers keep 25 bluefish??) So---I went to eat. (and drink) An hour later I REALLY did not want to filet the scup. I walked over to the filet table and----someone had stolen my scup!! At least they left the pail. Also, quite a few guys were upset at the sight of anglers just tossing whole blues into the river---why keep them??

Fish thieves???? Sounds like a nice place.

I don't have those problems at my fillet table. Lines or thieves.
