| LOL I hear ya on being a zombie! We left them there at 1:30, still biting picky, but there were others sticking around. We woulda stayed another hour or so, but a couple newbies were bitching by then. We probably missed another blitz in that hour  We've been going down there with a freakin wheelbarrow of chit (gennie, 4 lights, gear, buckets, clothes, etc....) just for 2 of us. Last night we had 2 wheelbarrows LOL (5 of us went). Got smart with the wheelbarrows..... WORK SMOTTA, NOT HODDA!

| Dang formula 233 I must have been walking right by you all these nights at the causeway. It's been slower than I can ever remember this year. I am hoping the full moon will trigger something. You setting up on the wall or the bridge?

| Sat Night Squidding Well, Sat night TommyO came down with me just before sunset. We quickly had bait in our lanterns (yes just 2 lanterns tonite, Mike couldn't make it, and I didn't feel like running over to borrow the genny, etc, it was late when I decided to go). We had a TON of little 2 & 3 inch squids in our lights below the baitfish. Pulled a couple squid up here and there, but no real hot bite. Ended up with only about a dozen between the 2 of us. Saw a few people pulling some in here and there, but nothing hot at all. Many "dead lines" as well. Nice night tho! Tommy asks me what time it is at one point LOL...... I looked and it was 2:50........we walked outta there just after 3 LOL.  Rough morning .......

| Definately a ZOMBIE morning. I think aquid are getting writing off for the year and will give the bass & fluke some attention Wed. I can't justify another empty run to Newport with fuel prices where there at. (just sadi thatone because the wife is looking over my shoulder!!)

| Went last night after WINGS at the Oak Hill. Buddy came with me, we got there around 10 PM. Squidded till 2 AM. I ended up with about a dozen. They were there, and most came quickly during a good bite, but after that, very subtle bites. Bridge was dead.......I think fuel prices are getting to those coming from out of state. And the lack of "bail jobs" on the squid is making it not worth the trip so much! Hey Steve (Maille) I was the obnoxious a s s h o l e beeping my little Toyota horn at you guys in boats along the Newport Bridge before 10PM LOL. I recognized your Formula hull quickly, I have an eye for them, even in the dark

| I do vaguely remember hearing someone beeping. I think we were just packing it in. Made the mistake of heading over there to see if anything was happening. Seems like everytime I'm near a bridge your on it! I'm planning to get out this Sat AM and check out the upper bay a bit. Glad to hear you got some. As I was leaving I marked a few pods. Steve

| It's been a lot of time committment and work this year for the amount of squid I now have eaten and have in my freezer. But, frig it......every year is different, and I only have to drive 15 mins to get there. We got spoiled last year.

| Remember, success is hanging on after others have let go. Met a gentleman today that came home last night with a cooler full of squid and not an Asian in sight. Not my waters, but he nailed them near Nebraska Shoals using a generator and lights. The squid were running large in size. I find it hard to believe that there isn't a Charter Captain somewhere that is getting them and is just keeping quiet about it. It could be possible, that with the decent game fish starting to come alive, squid just might be a passing memory for this year?
