Have been taking bass there at night on a regular basis. Just follow all the other boats.
We will be out Sat night as the tide (11:30PM high) and weather is going to be a little bit better.

Definitely 3-way bucktails with a pork rind teaser. Run 12 oz weight- maybe even 16 if the tide is really going. Drop and wait until you hit the bottom. then come up a few cranks. Keep your rod tip low and wait for a bump- it's either the bottom or a fish. In either case, make like your setting the hook. If it's the bottom you don't want to be there.

Keep the pressure on when bringing 'em up- that's the biggest chance for a run off.

And be careful for goodness sake- the Race is a busy place this time of year. The regular charters know the deal, but there's always some Bayliners or glorified jet skis bounced around out there.

Thanks!

Ieven fishing the grounds for a while. Just wondering how it's been reccently at night (I've been working for a 1 1/2 weeks)

Haven't tried a dark bucktail at night yet. I made abunch of them, do they work? I have been resistant to removing an ell for one.
