Got out yesterday morning for a couple hours of flukin'. Headed over to Westbrook in pea soup fog. Fished top of the outgoing tide in water to 25'. squid strips on fluke rig and squid strips on spro on second rod. Most on fluke rig(all but 3). Altogether caught 9 fluke (no keepers most 17+) 2 skate and lost two fluke. When the fog did lift, boy did it get hot out there with next to no wind. Headed in empty but it was fun to get out and feel a tug on the line. I know heading for deep water will produce but hate using a ton of lead to fish. I've been using 1oz spro and 2oz sinkers on fluke rigs and like how sensitive the feel is with this type of fishing. Drift speed was up to 1.6 mph when I was out there.
