Smile Fluke in Westbrook

Got out with a buddy for a couple hours today to go flukin'.
Fished Westbrook area in depths 12' - 40'.
We each had one rod (dead-sticked) with fluke rig and baited with
squid, squid strips, sand eels and various combinations of these.
Two rods we used bucktails tipped with pork-rind or squid strips.
The bucktails with pork-rind did nothing so changed over to squid strips on that one.
Fished top of the outgoing tide.
We caught fish on both baited rods and bucktails though the bucktails were a lot more fun. Came up with a shirt logo..............
..... "Save the sound, fish with me, I SUCK"! LOL missed a bunch on the bucktails.

We ended up catching 15 with 3 being keepers. Many were "THAAAAAAAT" close. Also got two bluefish on the bucktails.
Weather was great after the last few days of hot and muggy.
Had a blast. Was good to get out .
