Smile Flukin' in Westbrook

Maggie a friend and I got out today for some flukin'.
Hit Westbrook at the beginning of the outgoing tide.
Fished 60 - 68' of water, using squid strips and mummies(kellies) for bait.
Maggie picked up a nice 20 1/2" on the first drift.
Then she got a 24 a couple drifts later.
I finally scored a bit later with a 22" followed by a 24" and 25".
Not to be outdone Maggie get a 25". I got one more a 16" only short for the trip.
We felt bad as my back was sore and we told our guest "last drift".
The last 50' of that last drift he was de-skunked with 19".
Eight fluke total 7 keepers and 1 short plus 2 bluefish 3 and 5 lbs.
Back in and to the filet table.
Putting them away in our new freezer for winter.
We had a great time together out there and catching some nice fish was a bonus!

Keeper to short ratio was very good this trip...most other trips have
been the reverse at about 8:1 shorts.

Netboy...yes that would be me LOL.

Fluke is open through 9/05 this year so not many days left.
