Had to gas up the boat today, so decided to hit Westbrook area for the hour or so left of the incoming tide. Two rods out. One with home made fluke rig and squid strip. The other a light spinning rod with a squid tipped spro in 1oz. size. As there was only an hour left to the tide, didn't expect too much. Fished 12' - 24' of water. ![]() Tally 6 fluke (4 were on the spro) all short but big enough to measure. Ranged 17 1/4" - 17 3/4" ![]() Had fun catching them on the bucktail though. Hopefully will get out again this week to devote a few more hours. Saw a guy in an aluminum boat with his kid farther west on LSS and stopped to see how they did. Nothing. So I showed him where I was fishing and he was going to hit it once the tide started up again. (Sucker for kids fishing) ![]() Not the best report but it sure beat mowing the lawn today
