| We did not get an early start on Saturday but we did not really need it. On the water for 08:30 we got bait and started fishing the islands at around 09:00. We immediately got into bass in the 23" to 26" range and quickly went through our bait. Round two we went back out to get more bait we had to look a little harder but we found them and so back to the island we went. This time we went to a different spot and it ended up being the right choice because soon we brought our first keeper to the boat and not long after that we got our second two nice bass 32" and 33" long. Round three back out to get more bait they were still there so we loaded up and went back the same spot and that's when all hell broke loose double keepers two nice bass 34"and 36'' long we went through all of our bait again and we went back out for a half hearted attempt. we didn't really look to hard and figured we had a pretty good day so we headed back to the ramp for around 04:30we lost count of exactly how many bass we caught but it somewhere close to twenty five fish maybe more. Still no blue fish around and that may be why the mackerel are still here. We were happy it's days like this that make it all worth while. | ||
