hey tuna guys

question for you. we are putting out a line of topwater tuna plugs for this upcoming season, and we would like to make sure we have our bases covered with colors. what colors would you guys like to see? we will have a yearlong tuna contest as well, we will post the particulars closer to the season. thanks in advance for the help.

colors

I tend to look for detailed paint jobs with lifelike eyes and a durable finish. My favorite color the past two years for topwaters has been the pearl/tropical fruit pattern in the Hydro series squirts. Another great combo has been "blurple" or purple/black. A white, silver, or blueish belly with darker topsides seems to work well on tunnoids as well.

I also like the mackeral tops, in green or blue, and the red head white combo too.

Will it be a topwater, sinking lure or a stick bait, I prefer lures that sink for bluefin. They are very affective with bigger fish. I would match the hatch for the area. I like bright as well but all of my topwater tuna have come on fish looking patterns like the one below....57" fish on a spinning reel and sinking lure

We wil be up chasing them on topwater as soon as they show
