Homemade Plug Striper's

Fished Pt. Judith pond last night. Nice night....light wind, little bit of fog, the right tide, and fish everywhere which is key to keep my boys interested....

For Xmas last year I picked up a couple "build your own popper" kits from Scott at Salty Bugger for stocking stuffer's.

My boys and I spent some time here and there building them with a goal to fish them for Bass in the pond.

Last night it all paid off. The pond was FAC, and there was bait everywhere in the pond. I could see the swirls in the pond and could here the smack of fish feeding on the surface.

First cast out Wham to my sons surprise a nice 24" schoolie crushes his homemade plug....the look on his face was priceless.

Finished off the night with a few Bass and a lot of swing and misses all on surface plugs great night

That is awesome Alloy. Remember these days as they grow up quick. Can't put a price on that kind of quality time.
