july 4th fluke fishers island

with one day off mid-week intended to take the wife out for a summers afternoon of flukin'. left dock @ 1030hrs ( did i mention the trip was with my wife?) first drifts were the west end of fishers. got into a lot of small blues (kept for sharking) and a few sea bass (released).
continued to the south-side to the wind & seas kicking up to an uncomfortable drift condition for the fairer sex. fast bumpy drifts gave up a couple keepers, barely. bagged the trip early just before the rain started. cool & gray for july 4th.
