Our very own NBS Co-Mod Andy ("ANDY") came down from his place in the CT woods and met myself, my father ("fortier26"), and my buddy Dave ("Seacraft74HP") at 5 AM on the nose, and we quickly loaded up the boat and took off. Beautiful ride out, wasn't as cold as I'd figured it'd be, nor as breezy. The sun even came out eventually all day, which all the local jackazz weathermen said wouldnt happen. ![]() Got set up on the spot around 6:30, and started to soak some baits. Slow start but started picking small Togs. High tide was at 7:00 so the tide was already slacking off in prep for the change. STILL, in short order, we put 6 nice-sized Togs in the box before the tide change, as the bigguns started chewing too. ![]() At the tide change, we swung into water 15 feet deeper and the bite dropped off. Not where I wanted to be anyway, so I pulled the hook this once, reset, and we were good the rest of the day. ![]() Got back on the spot, and in no time it was WHAM BAM THANK YOU MA'AM! Togs started flying all over the boat LOL, we were all VERY busy with nets, pliers, scissors (to cut crabs and to cut the gills and bleed em), changing out gear LOL.....was great. ![]() Lost some real NICE fish to straightened hooks and the rocks......there's some real bigguns around still!! My father was high hook for the biggest fish of the day around 9# or so but most of our fish were in the 6# average range today, all good eaters The real big ones are down there with gear or holes in their mouths LOL Saw Brian ("Albatross") when he came out....he tried another spot, for a while, I called and left him a message that we were doing very well if he wanted to come over, depending how it was over there.......when he eventually came by, we had a slowdown. Seemed to be a slug of bass moving thru scaring the togs back in their hole. Brian had a 30# Bass follow up a small Tog LOL! Anyway, it figured that as soon as he showed we weren't catching......started feeling like a heel LOL, but in a little while the Togs DIDN'T make a liar out of me, and Brian and his buddy started doubling over with nice Togs, as well as us again LOL. There's a pic below of Albatross! Caught a couple seabass, 1 scup that became a livie for a while for a bass...... LIMITED OUT by noon with 40 TOGS and 2 SEABASS. I was a busy beaver filleting all the way in LOL. Ended up with 8 BULGING-FULL 1-Gallon Bags of skinned fillets, and sent Andy and Dave each on their way with 2 Bags a piece and smiles LOL. Good eats that'll last a while this winter Was great to finally meet ANDY, and good to get Dave out there again (was his first time Toggin' since he was 14 and taller LOL)We had a great time and was a great last trip of the season for Inheritance!! In 10 minutes I am heading out to go drive the boat 300 feet to the ramp and meet the boat hauler

Eric got us on a nice hump it was not long before the first of many Togs that came over the rail. The fortier26 is a really sweet ride plenty of cock pit room for four guys to fish.. I had a great time lots of laughs and a pile of fish to take home ![]() Thanks Eric and Cliff for a great day i didnt mind the two hour ride home back to the woods lol.

| Nice catch! We were out Friday also off clinton. Conditions were a lot different, forecast said rough in the am and laying down in the afternoon so we went out a little later, I think they had it backwards. After the tide change we were in 3-5s with blowing rain. We got 7 nice fish but the rain started really stinging so we didn't stick it out for the last keeper. Most of the fish were 5-6 with a couple of 8+. Andy, I am keeping the boat in till the end of the month, we need to get out if we ever get a decent day, maybe next week? I'll watch the forecast. | ||

Eric, Glad you got into them, I believe Curt is putting something together for a trip with Dom in the near future. I have one question, how do these fillets freeze up, pretty good I hope? Thanks, Dave

| We freeze them all the time no problem. Bought one of those foodsaver sealers and put the filets in the freeze wrap. Keeps them a long time.
