Late Report from Westbrook 8/3

Fished the incoming tide with my father on Sunday morning.

Decided to not use our usual bait of choice..eels since there has been a lot of bunker around. Snagged some up and off we went.

Pretty much from the first drift to the last we had constant action. The biggest bass came on a live bunker on the 1st drift. She went about 35#'s.

We did have some trouble with the bunker getting ripped apart by blues. We decided to switch over and just fish heads. THIS WAS THE KEY!!

The bluefish didn't bother with the heads and we managed 7 more bass on bunker heads. For the day we got 8 bass from 15 - 35#'s. I got outfished again with my dad getting most of the fish.

I am sure that my father will chime in and break my stones for #1 outfishing me #2 forgetting the camera #3 Taking pictures of him with my camera phone and then not saving them and therefore erasing them.

On a bad note in the afternoon the motor kept shutting down with the no oil sensor so I had to get towed in. Took the boat right to AOB and keeping my fingers crossed for good news today!

Here are a few pics that we did manage to salvage from the camera phone after I learned that I needed to save the pictures after taking them:

Nice report. Sounds like once you guys figured out using the heads was best it was stripers all the way.
