Macks and Bass gentlemen start your engines..

And so the season is set into motion for Hoop and I, and with a familiar
tone.
Started off the morning trying to make bait and the macks were spotty at the east end. It ended up taking us almost 2 hours to get 50 macks.. NOT GOOD.

Not exactly a mack slam but we had a livewell full and desided to head for points west..

Got to BB just as the rips started to set up and 45 seconds after the first livey was sent in to see what was down there bingo Fish on.

I started off the day with a few just sub legal fish and then hoop desided to join the party. But hoop was not feeling the love and i and pretty much caught most of the fish including a respectable 34" fish That is untill later in the afternoon when the love finaly showed up for Hoop and in a big way. Hoop had a really nice runoff and this fish was taking drag..
After a nice fight an early season cow comes to net and weighs in at 36 bls and 45"

After a quick weigh and measure hoop sent that fat girl back to play another day.

Hoop you get to post the picks..

Seems to me we started off last year like this..

Not sure how many fish we caught maybe 25 or so but 90% of them were keeper size and almost every mack that went into the water turned into a bass when it was brought back to the boat. We jammed 30 to 40 macks into the livewell and only 2 died.

We did hear the sound of go by and sure enough here comes and there goes Riptide at lightspeed with the contender cutting through the 4 foot wind against tide, white topped chop that built up in BB early in the afternoon..
Sweet ride Terry

BTW Terry you got some air when you went buy us

Next week is Fishfest 08 and we will be livelining all week. Hoop and Edge will be standing by in both CCB and BB on 68 depending on time of day we will be fishing BB and Barnstable kinda bouncing around with the weather and tide..

Let the games begin

Sweet ride Capt.

Woulda been a sweeter ride if I'd have kept it closer to home and livelined my pogies next to you guys instead of running all over creation w/o a fish caught. We almost stopped to beach Ruge and film the boat running in that slop in HD. He would have been in the picture right over your shoulder if we could have beached the boat w/o scuffing on the rocks.

I hate when I drive past fish like that

Terry,

On the edge and I are going to be down all next week on vacation if you need a camera boat for a little while to get some shots of the Contender in action.
