Marilyn Jean Charters Report 1st of the New Year to All

Today was our 1st open trip of 2007. Timmy, Tom along with Shin and His wife Braved the stiff NW wind and it paid off very well . Everyone had a nice catch of Togs to 9lbs Photos are a bit scarce since the batteries in Georges Phone died. I did get one shot at the dock but most everything had een fileted by then. Whites were the ticket and the sheaders were the candy. Greens did produce but not as well. Timmy was HH with 18 Keepers to 9 lbs(just keeping his limit)and a few ling, Tommy had 8 while The Shins had 15 between them . Capt. John had 9 Keepers for a nice fat 50 Keepers for the day . There were also plenty and I mean plenty of shorts released today .

Hi Capt Tony,

Happy New Year, keep those tog coming over the rail!

Did Tom use his new rod? That Timmy sure knows how to bang out tog. Am finishing up a couple of customs that should show up on the Marilyn Jean in the future.

See you at the Bash.

Captain Tony, do all your open boat trips go out for tog this time of year or do you offer sea bass as well. I would like to go on a sea bass trip but if you don't tog will do !

Flukinoff

Hi,

I have sailed with Capt Tony and his crew for tog. Great time! You will enjoy his crew and a great ride on the Marilyn Jean. Gotta warn you, he has guys that bang the tog hard on that boat. You will have a great time. They do fish different than how we do it off Port Jeff. Watch, ask and listen is the secret.

Neil, I actually went once this year after you had recomeded the vessel several weeks ago. While I personally did not kill'em some of the sharpies on board did rather well with fish to 9lbs. They do fish a little differently than what I am used to in CT. But, I learned alot & caught a few fish !

Oh yeah, I met a guy named Rob from LI, apparently you have made him several rods. Judging by the way he talks about you I thought he was your advertiser ...I guess when a quality product is made word travels !
