| area Were is the hot spot for sea run browns in New Haven area? Im new to this area, Ive never fished in this part of the state.

| sea runs Go to the derby dam. got 10 lb plus sea run [foto and release ] and salmon as usual all winter . Striper schoolies will be there at high tides and other species on the droping tides. |

| Record stuff Yea I know it was close but I really dont care. I think 10- 13 was the record. At any rate - When ever I fish on a boat I rail my rod and say It's not IGFA and enjoy the fight. All I care about is the foto. |

| april 18, 08 Caught a few schoolie stripers in the Housy . 20 - 22 inches on white zoom jigs bouncing the bottom. Another guy had a keeper on bunker chunks. We are watching the water temp. Just felt great to get the boat in the drink and get out there. Caught 4 schoolies on the Housy in January up in Shelton, so there are fish there year round. Also heard of Salmon caught at the same time. |
