What a difference from the Connecticut proposal.
Listed is where the money will go and what for.
they mention a fee for over 70 non-resident. Is there a free
senior license for residents?
Also very clearly it states what the penalty for not having one is.
Connecticut should take a look at it.
Thanks for posting it.

ps Things I didn't see...
Will fishermen on head and charters need a swl?
I didn't see non-resident head and charter lic. fees.
Does that mean they're the same 200/400 as residents?

Connecticut should take a look . Maine always seems to make thing simple. Bob for your first question I found this(A license is not required to engage in saltwater recreational fishing in coastal waters for an individual under 16 years of age or a resident 70 years of age or older.)

Good point!
Chuck, Thanks didn't see that.

I wish these states would take two steps back, like New Hampshire, and think this thing through. I'm not opposed 100% to a license that is fair and the money goes into improving the fisherie. Just don't want it going into a pile to be spent on whatever. Get a real plan first.

It's 200 for charter capts. and $400 for head boats......I would assume this covers our customers so that they will NOT need a license....if not, we will definetly have issues. I have no problem paying it ONLY if it goes where they say it will

If it's like Connecticut, fairs won't need a license...at least yet. Louisiana has a nominal $2 license fee for fairs on charters/head boats.
So many questions and hopefully everyone will start contacting the people that will vote to make or not make these "laws".
